"Go spidey web! HOOOOOOOOO.....!"
I saw Michael Jackson's This Is It this past Sunday, while getting over my first hangover in 6 years. Here's what I took from it:
- Oh yeah, SPOILER ALERT! -
2) Comfortable - Anytime you think MJ, you think soft spoken, awkward, coy. This movie is the first time I've seen him in his element. And in his element, he's direct, unafraid, and opinionated. He was directly challenging everyone on stage, schoolin' fools.
3) Dance Machine (out of order) - I don't get it. MJ just does the same half-assed poppin' patterns over and over and over. And it really was painful to watch. At first, I was thinkin it's just natural to decline since he was like 50, so it's all good. But then when he was bustin out the specific routines for Billie Jean and Thriller, he was just as smooth as he was back in the 80's. I don't get it! If he was still around, and if I saw him on the street, I just might have challenged him to battle. And I'd really have a shot at winning. Wish I was exaggerating about that.
- Oh yeah, SPOILER ALERT! -
- Michael Jackson was truly a musical genius (duh)
- You see a whole different side of him. It's the only time I've ever seen him naturally comfortable
- Even though he could still move, he danced like sh*t
